We came by our name "Genteel Standard Poodles because we believe the word Genteel perfectly describes the breed.

The scope of our breeding program at Genteel Standard Poodles goes above and beyond beautiful looks, pedigrees, and Champion titles - reaching to the very core of natural health and longevity of future generations by health testing, feeding a raw species appropriate diet, not vaccinating and the elimination of the use of chemicals in, on or around our dogs.

Our motto is Quality without Compromise.

This is a promise we made to ourselves years ago, for it means that we will not compromise health for beauty.

We breed discriminately for health, intelligent, stable temperament, beauty, brains and of course, structure. Structure is the framework and foundation of a dog. Good structure enables a Poodle to effortlessly cover ground with proud head carriage and an upright tail. It is our goal to combine the elements of temperament, beauty, brains and structure along with a history of good health into our breeding program.

As Natural Rearing Breeders, our goal is to improve our line with each breeding and to maintain the standard for the breed.

We believe in versatile Standard Poodles with the highest standards in health, structure, temperament,workability & longevity .

Standard Poodles are dogs that have the ability to do it all and we consider ourselves extremely lucky to share our home and our lives with them.

Our intent is to produce healthy, versatile dogs that are competitors for Obedience - Agility - Hunting -Therapy/Service - Show/Conformation - and MOST IMPORTANTLY - THE VERY BEST Family Companions.

It is more important to us that our dogs enjoy a wonderful home life FIRST. If they have a successful show or working career, that is wonderful, but our main focus is on the complete Poodle.
