A Message From Dr Jeannie:

Helping You to Help Your Dogs Achieve And Maintain
A Healthy Life Naturally since 2003.

Let me begin by thanking you for visiting our site and making a conscious decision to care for your dog more naturally and to choose products that are proven to be healthy and beneficial to your dog.

I am thrilled to tell you a little bit about the inspiration for my company, philosophy and mission to empower you with practical understanding of how to have a healthier, happier and longer lived dog. Please understand that this is a joint effort and I look forward to working together with you - bringing whole health to your canine companion.

What is in a name?
Our name, The Whole (wholistic) Dog, was inspired by my desire to see dogs living in the whole health God intended them to. This whole health is brought about by a "holistic" or "natural" life style" that addresses the entire or "whole" dog... mind, body and spirit.

Who are we?
The Founder of The Whole Dog is Dr. Jeannie Thomason.

Dr. Jeannie is an animal naturopath, that holds a doctorate in veterinary naturopathy and a diploma in small animal nutrition. She is an educator a natural rearing dog breeder of almost 30 years abd the founder of the Natural Rearing Breeders Association

Her passion has led her to dedicating herself to extensive education and research; as well as an exploration of hands-on experiences in practicing animal nutrition and natural health with my own naturally reared dogs for last 25 years as well as working with those seeking a healthier lifestyle and longer life for their pets.

Dr. Jeannie's true love for animals is beyond a passion; It is a way of life! She is known to colleagues and friends as one who "practices what she preaches", and has positively influenced and helped thousands of dog, cat and bird owners and grateful animals themselves, sharing her knowledge of natural and holistic animal care.

Dr. Jeannie is a strong supporter of personal liberty, as delineated in the Constitution - Liberty as provided by God, not by human. Ultimately, she believes all healing comes from God and that the healer is only the conduit.

"I have found that feeding raw, species specific nutrition is the single most important aspect and the greatest influencing factor upon an animal’s health.

I believe that the health and overall potential of our dogs, rests on the cornerstones of nutrition, emotional well being, fitness and a clean, toxin free living environment. Once these are all aligned we have not only a vibrant, fully realized animal, but a beginning - a framework for developing more of their abilities and extended length and quality of life. After all, health is not the absence of disease ... it is a universal good condition on all levels--physical, emotional and mental.

Instead of just looking for ways to cure a health or behavior problem once it arises, it is my goal to share ways of preventing problems in the first place. Dr. Jeannie Thomason

The Whole Dog promotes naturopathic (truly natural) dog care through knowledge.
The lives of our dogs are improved by educating human caretakers to have a more holistic, healthy approach. Quite simply, the goal at The Whole Dog is to bring the natural dog care concepts together to help educate dog owners to learn to be proactive in their dog's lives with the end goal being healthier, longer lived animals.

Dr. Jeannie is mindful and approaches her work with humility and purpose. Through The Whole Dog she offers consultations, educational information and only products that are pure and naturally effective. She educates to bring upon awareness with a practical understanding of true, natural dog care.
